The Journal - Spring on the Prairie

$25.00

This journal is truly one of a kind. Every image was taken on two ranches in Montana from April through June of 2026. I have spent years photographing on working land and The Rangelands is my way of sharing just how wild and important these places can be to conservation. It’s what can be seen in these vast and seemingly empty landscapes when we take a step into them. One of the fastest declining ecosystems has been and remains the grasslands and prairies of North America. The images and notes in the journal offer a rare glimpse into the quiet parts of these places, places that are driven by more often than observed in person. This journal comes beautifully hand wrapped in paper in colors to match the sage and two track roads I’ve spent so long walking over the years.

Buy this as a gift to yourself and be transported to coyote dens, thunderheads and the light and life that is spring on the Great Northern Plains Prairie. These are also great gifts to a loved one - send them off on a journey to the big wild and wide open country of Montana’s plains from their favorite morning coffee perch.

These journals are also a great read to a kid for the parent looking to bring a little nature into their lives. And grasp an understanding that these are also places where our food comes from.

I hope you enjoy!

With gratitude,

Alex
